A beautiful destination with restorative power
My experience with the food, the gorgeous beach sunrises and sunsets, and my trip to Martha Brae for rafting gave me just a small taste of what I know is available to explore. I’m already plotting how I’ll make it back some day to see and explore parts like Negril and Ocho Rios. The colors of the Jamaican flag are representative of hope and vegetation (green), wealth and sunlight (gold), and the strength and creativity of the people (black), all of which is easy to observe while you’re there.

Jamaica is a breathtaking country, and while there, I learned so much about the culture including the flag's symbolism, the origins of jerk food, of which I had my fill, and of course I heard the music of the great Bob Marley.
